At Archways Centre for CBT, we practice Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), a short-term approach to helping people like you deal with their social anxiety, stress, and problematic moods. Lasting between 6-20 sessions, we offer weekly or biweekly sessions with either individual treatment or group therapy. This evidence-based treatment is utilized to develop an individualized treatment plan for every client who comes through our doors, based on their unique needs and goals.
When you visit us for the first time, we’ll talk with you about where you are in the present, while looking to the future. Our approach helps you see the strong association between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, helping you identify irrational thoughts and develop a strategy for reworking the way you think. This will ultimately change the way you feel and act, bringing you closer to feeling comfortable in social situations.
CBT is much more than simple ‘talk therapy’: each week, we’ll give you the tools needed to practice a facet of CBT in your daily life, and monitor your progress throughout the program. This helps to provide a sense of continuity between sessions, and will give you a tangible way to see how you’re growing and changing each week.
We’re here to serve individuals living with problematic moods or social anxiety in London Ontario and the surrounding area, and our office is conveniently located downtown for easy access. We have free onsite parking, and you may find that some of the fees you pay can be reimbursed by your insurance plan. Since it’s often hard to fit even one more thing into a busy schedule, we have appointments available in the morning, afternoon, and evening, so that we can meet with you when you have the time.
