Depression London Ontario

DepressionArchways Centre for CBT is a group practice of Psychologists and Psychological Associates, all registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. We utilize an evidence-based treatment called Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to help individuals deal with stress, anxiety, and depression in London Ontario.

We focus on individualized programs that cater to each client’s unique situation and needs. When you visit us for the first time, typically within one week from your call to us, we will conduct an assessment of your needs and goals. We want to focus on the individual in the present, and look toward the future. From this initial discussion, we will determine whether group or individual therapy will work best for you, and determine whether weekly or bi-weekly sessions would be the most beneficial.

Depression London OntarioCBT is a short-term approach to helping deal with psychological disorders for the long-term, with treatment lasting between 6-20 sessions. In these sessions, we will help you understand the interaction between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through this approach, we will identify irrational thoughts and teach you strategies for reworking the way you think, thus changing the way you feel and  behave.

Our approach to dealing with stress,  and depression in London Ontario goes beyond simply ‘talking it out’. In addition to your sessions, we will provide you with the tools and tasks that will help monitor your progress through the program, practice CBT strategies in your daily life, and ensure that each session builds upon the previous one, providing continuity.
